Dr. Peter Kim DDS

Dr. Kim has been serving the Sacramento community for over eight years, and he is well loved by families for his personalized approach to care and delivering excellent treatments. He always makes himself available to his patients, even after hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, when they have emergency dental concerns likeroot canals. He enjoys forming bonds with the patients in his care, developing lifelong relationships to ensure their beautiful smiles can last a lifetime. Dr. Kim grew up in the Bay Area, where he completed his undergraduate education at UC Berkeley and his doctorate in dental surgery at UOP, San Francisco. Dr. Kim holdsdental implantcertification from the world-renowned AIC Education Center andInvisalign®certification. He is highly skilled in a variety of cosmetic treatments, including professionalteeth whiteningandveneers. Through thorough oral exams, patient education, and transparent discussions, Dr. Kim and his staff look out for patients’ oral health and take care of their dental needs with the highest quality of care. The practice’s philosophy is based on integrity, and every team member is committed to empowering patients to make decisions that are best for their health. Dr. Divleen Baines DDS

Dr. Divleen Bains is a general dentist known for her gentle and patient approach to care, helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental visits. Dr. Bains received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) with honors from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA, where she developed a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through high-quality dentistry in a comfortable and welcoming environment. To stay at the forefront of modern dental care, Dr. Bains has completed continuing education courses in digital dentistry, pediatric dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontic aligners. This advanced training allows her to offer a wide range of services tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Bains now lives in Folsom with her husband and their Australian Shepherd, Waffles. When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, reading, and hosting family and friends.

Maria M. — Registered Dental Hygienist

Maria is very dedicated to her patients and her five children. She graduated from the University of California, San Francisco in 1988. Maria has loved many aspects of her job since joining Sierra Oaks Dental as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1993; however, she specializes in delivering patient care and forming relationships with her patients that last a lifetime. Maria’s commitment to her patients is remarkable, and her patients have the same level of commitment to her.

Roman L. — Registered Dental Hygienist

Roman earned an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Sacramento City College and has been working in the dental field for over 7 years. With extensive education in physics, safety, regulatory guidelines, and clinical applications for the diode laser, Roman is highly skilled in modern dental techniques. In addition, Roman successfully completed advanced training in the administration of Nitrous Oxide, Local Anesthesia, and Soft Tissue Curettage. In 2017, upon the recommendation of faculty and peers, Roman was recognized and awarded for outstanding professionalism by the Dental Hygiene Class of 2017. Roman’s top priority is ensuring every patient has a positive experience at the dentist. With a passion for patient education, Roman strives to empower individuals with the knowledge they need to better understand and care for their oral health. When not in the office, Roman enjoys working out, jogging, cooking, reading, painting, and fishing.

Bryan H.— Registered Dental Assistant

Bryan is originally from the Bay Area but moved to Sacramento at the age of five. He attended Rio Americano High School, where he graduated at the top of his class in the CTE Dental Careers Program. Currently, Bryan is continuing his education at Sacramento City College with plans to transfer to the University of California, Irvine. With aspirations of becoming a dentist in the future, Bryan is passionate about expanding his knowledge of dentistry. He values the hands-on experience he gains in the field and appreciates the opportunity to learn directly from patients and professionals while building meaningful connections. Outside of work Bryan enjoys staying active through gym workouts and running. He also has a passion for photography and sewing, which allow him to explore his creativity.

Alicia R. — Practice/ Financial Manager

Alicia Rennard is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in finance and 7 years in the dental industry. She brings a strong blend of analytical skills and client-focused service to every role she takes on. Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. You’ll often find her camping, paddle boarding, or taking care of her chickens. Her balanced lifestyle reflects both her dedication to her career and her love for the outdoors.

Betty J. — Accountant

Betty studied accounting at college in Korea and San Francisco and joined our team in January 2017. Before she worked at Sierra Oaks Dental, she worked at a CDA office in San Francisco and as part of a Samsung information systems team in San Jose. Her second son is a musical actor in Hollywood!
